Quick and easy onion and butter sauce

Filed under: Uncategorized — vegcookingandbaking @ 9:09 pm

This sauce is so good over some penne pasta. Heat up some water for the penne, and when it is boiling add some salt and the penne. After you have done that, add some butter to a frying pan (about half a stick, or half a cup, for four people) and throw in one onion, chopped (you should have chopped the onion before heating up the butter; best thing is to chop up the onion before you even add the penne to the water). One medium to large onion should be enough for four people. You might need to add some more butter if it doesn’t look like you have enough. Cook the onion, moving it around occasionally, until the penne is done and has been drained. The onions should be lightly golden. Mix the pasta with the sauce, add some parmesan cheese and enjoy! This goes great with the spinach salad recipe I posted in my last post.
